To make you Ormerod 2 (528.4 and earlier) compatible with the Quick-set nozzle, you will need to update a couple of printed parts. Download and print one each of the x-carriage and nozzle-mount. These are already supplied with Ormerod 2 528.5 and later kits.

The x-carriage is a direct replacement for the original one, it simply has the roller bearing rotated through 90 degrees, and this runs on the underside of the x-axis-plate. Once you have printed the x-carriage, make sure the slot is cleaned out before fitting; this allows adjustment of the angle of the hot end. The order fitting the bearing should be: M3x12mm cap head screw, through the x-carriage printed part, M3 washer, MR93ZZ bearing (9mm diameter), M3 nut. Once fitted on the x-axis, adjust the position of the bearing in the slot to hold the hot end vertically. ormerod-two-x-carriage
